An inspiration otherwise known as JULIEANNE

It has been years since I last idolized someone from the local television in the Philippines. It was more than 10years ago since I became an actual fan. At my age, I have never imagined myself being the fan I am right now. I did not see this coming.

It was just last year (2011) when I realized that I was once again being a fan. And here is the catch; I am actually a fan of a 17 year old singer/actress. But who cares about the age right?

It all started august of 2011 when I decided to stay at home on a boring Sunday afternoon (Which is not normal because I usually go out on a Sunday), so I figured I would stay at home and do nothing but to relax. I was so bored and so I ended up switching the television on.  I cannot seem to find the perfect movie to watch, I kept changing channels then BOOOM! GMA PINOY TV! Haha! I did not know we had this channel, all the while I thought we only have tfc. lol. (For some of you who do not know, I am based in Singapore). To cut the story short, there I was getting hooked to this variety show named Party Pilipinas. The singers in this show were amazing, fantastic voices. But one of their singers captured my attention; I did not know who she was, at least during that time. All I know is that they call her a young diva. So I figured she was still of tender age. Haha! And I was right, she was a teen with an incredible and equally amusing voice. After the show I wanted to know more about that girl who just caught my attention. Yes, that girl. So I searched the Internet, specifically Youtube, and then found myself watching her videos. AWESOME! She is incredibly good. That voice! I was speechless. So I spent my entire Sunday evening watching and listening to her covers in Youtube.

And as what they always say, the rest was history. Here I am back to going gaga over a TV personality. I am 20+++ years old, a preschool teacher, and I am a fan of a 17year old singer/actress, yes you read it right, 17. People may have different opinions about this fan- phase I am in, but who cares? If this fan girling thing would give you the happiest feeling in the world, why stop and be ashamed of it?

For someone like me, who is miles away from home, I would definitely hold on to something that would make me happy. This is all I've got right now. My best friend once told me, 'why let go of something that gives you the best feelings in the world?' She was right, sometimes we just have to think of what makes us happy, not what makes other people happy.

And as of the moment, she makes me happy. Okay let me rephrase that, her voice, her music and what she does makes me happy. Listening to her sing gives me that extra push and inspiration, that voice just takes away the sadness that I am feeling. Seeing her smile and perform on TV gives me that encouragement to move forward and enjoy life.
Every time I feel like giving up, all I do is watch her videos, because those videos reminds me of her story. I do not exactly know everything about her life, but based from what I have read and heard, she did not reach stardom in a blink of an eye, she had to take the long way to success. Amidst all the struggles thrown at her, she remained standing tall and proud as ever. Positivity is what she is made of. And that made her different from the rest. And every time I feel lonely and alone, I listen to her songs, because her music and her voice relieves that feeling of solitude. That voice just makes me feel that home is just one step away.

I have never imagined myself getting this much inspiration from a 'teen' but I just did. She may not know it, but I tell you, this stranger has made a huge impact in my life. She just made me realize a lot of things about life and happiness. No words could ever describe how great she is.

For others, she maybe just a singer, or an actress but for me she is more than that.  You see, sometimes It is not merely idolizing someone; sometimes people must look deeper into it. It’s beyond that. There will always be a deeper reason why people appreciate artists and it varies from person to person.

As for me, I now know why I am this fan, it’s because this 'stranger' just made a huge impact in my life in so many ways. This person helped me strengthen my faith and made me understand LIFE. Yes, as simple as that. Imagine a 'teen' just changed my view about life. Astounding right? I may not know her personally but my perception of her would never change. She just brings all the positive energy in the world. I will always regard her with utmost respect and admiration. And as what I always say, I am and will forever be a fan.

  6. wow! the same feeling that i have towards her. :) i admire her when she was 11 and i admire her still. I dreamed of seeing her in person when i was eleven, now I am 17,turning 18 on October and still dreaming of seeing her. She became my inspiration. I didn't really want other people to hear my voice. I didn't really want anyone to hear me sing not until i saw her on television. this girl really made everyone proud of her. INSPIRATION is what she really is. her voice, her personality, the things that she does makes everyone happy. I realized that I should not keep my talents for myself, instead, I should share it so people will know how great our Heavenly Father is that He created and gave everyone a unique talent. who knows? maybe i can move people too just like what JULIE ANNE does. I will always be a fan of her no matter what happens. I keep on getting high grades because of her. Even though i do not know her personally, when i see her tweets and posts on youtube, i feel like i am just 1 feet away from her. :D i hope and pray that God will grant my wish to see her in person and know her personally. JULIE ANNE, you will always be my inspiration. thank you for making me realize things. I LOVE YOU. i'm addicted to you. haha. :* Godbless.

  10. yehey!!! nice one jo! ^_^ There's will always a common denominator among us JAPS supporter: That we are PROUD of her, in everything that she does, she's an inspiration to each one of us, she has that positivity that is so contagious, she uplifts everyone's feeling through her voice, and she's one genuine person in the showbiz world. It's not hard to adore her. The description for Julie Anne San Jose are way beyond the dictionary can offer. She's amazing, a character that inner beauty far outweighs the facade (but we can't deny that she really is beautiful also on the outside ^_^)One, proud fan here! Hello to all JAPS' supporters out there. :) ~~gpt~~

  14. I am 36, working here in Japan. i don't know what she got but seeing her perform or merely just seeing her makes me feel like home...i just love everything about her not to mention the character and looks she's not the meztiza or the gorgeous type, she is simple yet incredibly beautiful...Hope she stays the same , and right lets give credits to the parents for molding her well.

  15. I guess everyone has the same feeling towards her, she's a huge teen idol coz she's talented and beautiful and despite people treats her special she still remains humble and befriends with fans. For people like me or us who passed our teens I look deeply onto her, I've been a fan of her since she was 10 I think, I feel sad then that nobody noticed her talent, I know she does aswell, but you can see just how passionate she is in music and just how happy she is when performing. She always reminds me that nothing is achieved overnight and we have to earned everything we desire, further she is like an angel of that teach us GOD really rewards people who work hard for their dream.
